Dragon and Inspiration

I’m excited to be able to say that I’ve been working on a pack of Dragon voice commands to enable users of Inspiration to control this app by voice, and am grateful for the support and encouragement of Reeza Awoodun and Ruby Pettifer of TechEdology!

This short preview shows some of these commands in action and also demonstrates the use of the Dictation Box.

Dragon does not have full text control of Inspiration Topics and Notes, so when dictating here, the Dictation Box opens by default. You can now dictate and click the Transfer Button to copy your dictated text back to the Topic or Note you are working on.

Alternatively, you could turn the Dictation Box off and dictate directly to Inspiration. This may be a bit quicker but you won’t be able to format your text, or correct any Dragon recognition errors.

Seven biggest Dragon mistakes

The seven biggest mistakes made when using Dragon

When providing Dragon training for the first time, I often find that people are making the same mistakes and are therefore not getting the very best out of this amazing software!

Making a few simple changes can really make a difference – here is part of a review that I recently received…

“In a concise way Neil has picked out the key components when setting up and configuring Dragon to get the very best out of this marvellous software so it does what it does best. Having followed Neil’s advice, I have reconfigured how I had been working and Dragon has become so much better. It’s brilliant!”  DJ, Sports Physiotherapist
